Recently, someone asked how SUMMER ROCK a new musical all began. Two years ago, I had an idea to write some songs for a summer show that we were thinking about producing at a theatre in NYC. The original title was “Summer”, a compilation of rock inspired songs that are fun and entertaining.

“Summer” quickly went from a compilation of songs to possibly writing a show on fun adventures for teens, kids, and young adults. A fun show with a storyline that highlights the great adventures we dream of over summer.

Working on some ideas for “Summer”, it came like a whirl wind, SUMMER ROCK a new musical! We quickly laid down the ground work for an amazing storyline which I cannot share for a one reason, we don't want to spoil the surprise. Here is a little something I can share. When Edge and his friends discover a way to travel into the past, they think they are about to embark on the best summer of their lives, but when Edge's younger sister Hannah, contracts a virus, they will need to travel into the future in a race against time to save her. One problem, they have no way of getting into the future that holds the key to saving her. The roller coaster ride of the summer has just begun.

SUMMER ROCK a new musical was originally set to make it’s debut, Summer of 2015. I am glad we decided to wait one more year, it gave us more time to chew on the storyline.

So there you have it, sounds simple, but every moment of those 15 hour days, though sometimes painful, was and is worth it.

Your summer is not complete without SUMMER ROCK a new musical.

We look forward to seeing you there.

Until the Next Time,
